Hello! I'm Trevor Otterson.
After 40+ years in this hobby, I've learned that a banknote is more than just paper — it's history you can hold.
My journey has taken me from being a member of the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) to being one of only 25 people ever elected into the eBay Hall of Fame. Over the years, The Banknote Man has become a trusted source for collectors around the world.
Before a back injury slowed me down, I founded the World Banknote Series with a specific mission: to keep this hobby accessible for the next generation. I've also created many fantasy banknotes over the years.
While most hobbies have priced children and everyday collectors out, I've dedicated my site to providing lower-priced and accessible banknotes with free resources and items for parents to help children get a head start on a lifetime of collecting.
Over the years, I've also expanded my collecting interests, and you can find Magic The Gathering cards, sport cards, comics, anime products, stamps, and hobby supplies at my site.
